Canadian Funny Money No Longer Worth More Than Real US Money

After a checker gave me a Canadian penny the other day, I decided to check out the current value of Canadian money against US money. I am sure everybody heard last fall how the decline in the dollar meant that Canadian money, long below the value of US currency, was suddenly worth more than our own currency. Well, that's no longer the case. Apparently the current exchange rate is near even. One Canadian dollar is worth 0.9987 US dollars. Sorry Canada, the one real advantage to living in Canada is gone.

when you consider that it was worth almost 50 cents a couple years ago, having a less than .013 difference is nothing to gloat about.

True. And it's projected to reach $1.50 later this year. Nonetheless, this isn't gloating as much as it is a slight consolation amidst the dollar's continuing free fall.

Fair enough, though.. shit, I just got distracted, theres a new knight rider tv series? Holy crap, anyways, you did say the one benefit to living in canada is gone, which does not make sense, considering inflation is going the opposite way in Canada.
